The Children's Tree House

In order to promote healthier and happier families, The Children's Tree House provides community-based activities, referrals, and resources for families with deaf children. To further increase deaf children's educational, social, and emotional levels, the same services are available to school programs serving deaf students. The activities give the deaf children a chance to socialize with other deaf children, parents the opportunity to support each other, and hearing siblings an occasion to get along better with their deaf brothers and sisters. Since a majority of the families are low income, the field trips and day activities have allowed classrooms or groups of deaf children and their families to experience activities that would not have otherwise been available to them.
