Our mission: Fortaleza Atravez Barreras is a nonprofit organization that provides peer support services, training, community events and advocacy to increase access to Mental Health Services. The primary purpose of FAB is to serve BIPOC and underrepresented populations with a focus on the Hispanic/Latinx community, Chicano, Latino, BIPOC Veteran, LGBTQIA and Indigenous persons of all ages that identify as having lived experience with emotional, behavioral, and/or physical health issues. Our educational curriculum aims to promote culturally responsive, trauma informed, mental health services and wellness activities which include peer support.
