About Mission Donate Contact Us More The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi Protect the Paws is a 501C3 nonprofit charity based in Miami Florida. The charity was founded by four women in 2011 after reading an article about a child who in lieu of birthday gifts asked family and friends to donate towards a Police K9 bulletproof vest. We were so moved by this article that we wanted to do our part in protecting these K9 heroes.
