So honored to have recorded and uploaded a video message to share with a church in Asia this coming Sunday. The title of my message was taken from Psalm 41:1 "Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble." This church family has done so much to help people in their own city, and in the interior places of the island of Borneo. They have helped meet real needs, and have shared the message of the love of Christ. In this sermon, I pose a question, "How many people do you have a relationship with, who can do nothing in return for you?" Most relationships require that both parties contribute something to the relationship, but ministry to the poor is often done, knowing that these can do nothing in return. God values this, and God will reward this. Jesus taught to do things for those who can do nothing in return for us. Luke 14:12-14 (ESV) 12 He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you.
