Good evening, Vets with Nets 2025 is rapidly approaching and the board is working hard to get everything together for the event. Text and phone calls are going out to verify everyone is still coming before we do boat assignments. Here is some things that need addressed so we can cut down on the messages we receive. I will go live tomorrow and cover this again. Deposits will be returned ( or donated for next years event your choice) when you show up to the meet and greet. If you cannot make the event you will not receive a refund for your deposit. This is a 2 day event both days are mandatory Todd works extremely hard to accommodate veterans needs when doing boat assignments. This is a huge task and no one is guaranteed to go with the captain they want or be on the same boat as their friends. If the captain requests certain veterans then we do our best to make that happen. Veteran requests for captains will no be entertained. Please reply to the text or phone call you receive, do not send us a random email or Facebook message with your response. As of the close of registration and after removing caotains that cant make it we were at 194 boats and 448 veterans. Im sure both these numbers will drop over the next couple of weeks. But this is still the largest veterans fishing event in the country and a lot of work goes into it. Please be patient when waiting for a response. Lastly any rude or derogatory responses to any board members or volunteers of the Vets with Nets organization or to any volunteers or members of the Detroit beach boat club will get you banned from the event and blocked on all of our social media accounts.
