Ainsworth Foundation
To offset impending budget cuts in Portland public schools, concerned parents in 1994 formed The Ainsworth Foundation raising and distributing money to maintain and enhance programs at Ainsworth and other Portland public schools. Ainsworth is an elementary school for community based families as well as Portland's city-wide magnet program for Spanish Immersion. Campaigns involve all Ainsworth families funding Community and Spanish Immersion classroom teachers as well as partially funding Art, Music, and Library & Reading specialists. Ainsworth Foundation fundraising enhances the educational experience.
