Loads of Dignity
A free service for our homeless and low-income community to have clean clothes and bedding. Establishing relationships, offering a nonjudgmental atmosphere, and showing compassion complete the goal of dignity for all guests, no matter where they live. Our services offer the homeless and low-income neighbors in the Bitterroot Valley an opportunity to come into the laundromat to wash their clothing and bedding for free. We provide a variety of types of laundry detergent, fabric softener, quarters, hygiene bags for adults, and specially put-together children’s bags with child-size hygiene items, a juice box, sensory toy, crackers, coloring books, a small pack of crayons and an age-appropriate book. Our services take pressure off our guests so they don't have to choose between clean clothes or using their funds elsewhere. Our low-income neighbors need to use their income to pay rent, buy food, pay utilities, and gas to get to work.

Due to a housing shortage we are seeing an increasing number of homeless people in our valley. Many of us dont think twice about getting a clean towel out of the cupboard before stepping into our shower or putting on freshly laundered clothing retrieved from our closets.
