Zoofari
Zoofari is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to life science and conservation education and the rescue and housing of unwanted, non-releasable or confiscated exotic animals. In addition to supporting outreach education programs designed to reach disadvantaged youth in Southern California, Zoofari also supports grassroots conservation efforts internationally to help save endangered species.Working closely with Fish & Game and local animal control agencies Zoofari zoologists, biologists, and animal trainers rescue, vet, and train non-releasable wildlife and confiscated exotic animals to become animal-ambassadors, and play an important role in hands-on education programs. Through expert animal care and enrichment, Zoofari animals can live out a happy and healthy life while giving back to the community as “creature-teachers”. All Zoofari programs are designed to inspire, educate, and encourage a life-long interest in environmental science and conservation.
