Madison Park Neighborhood Association
Established in 1987, The Madison Park Neighborhood Association (MPNA) became a 501 (c) (3) organization in 2009. The mission of Madison Park Neighborhood Association (MPNA) is to develop neighborhood integrity and pride through civic participation, which we achieve through empowering residents to advocate for neighborhood improvements and promote healthier lifestyles. Our organization works to improve quality of life for residents in the Madison Park neighborhood of southeast Santa Ana, with aspirations to expand to adjacent communities. Anchored in values such as dignity and self-determination for ourselves and all Santa Ana, MPNA is dedicated to pursuing a “legacy of change” that will yield visible benefits for years to come.In 2011 with generous support from The California Endowment – Building Healthy Communities Initiative – MPNA launched The Getting Residents Engaged in Exercise& Nutrition (GREEN) Project at James Madison Elementary. MPNA-GREEN promotes healthy lifestyles through exercise, nutrition, academics, family and community development activities. Collaborative Partnership with key Institutions: Santa Ana Unified School District, City of Santa Ana, UC Irvine, CSU Long Beach, Santa Ana Healthy Neighborhoods Alliance (SAHNA); South Main Merchants Association (SMMA), Santa Ana Building Healthy Communities (SABHC) Partners and more…MPNA is fiscally sponsored by Charitable Ventures of Orange County (CVOC), which provides financial oversight, administrative assistance, and support with human resources, accounting, legal, and insurance issues. CVOC’s mission is to provide resources and fiscal services to community initiatives in its region and throughout California. Please note that the annual operating budget number below represents CVOC’s total expenses, while the project budget number represents MPNA.
