💚 Big things are happening with Coffee County Humane Society! 🐾 Our May meeting was full of energy, updates, and ideas for the future! From celebrating adoptions to dreaming big about a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, we're working hard to make life better for animals in Coffee County. 🐶🐱 Here are a few exciting things we talked about:  ✨ Over 50 animals helped through spay/neuter and vet assistance in May  ✨ A $2,000 Lemonade Day donation from Westwood Elementary, and more on the way from East Coffee Elementary (thank you!)  ✨ Plans in motion for a Comedy Night fundraiser at Common John Brewing Co. on July 12 - Details coming soon!  ✨ Adoptions, foster updates, and the ongoing fight to reduce stray overpopulation  ✨ Our long-term goal to open a low-cost spay/neuter clinic right here in Coffee County! 📣 We also talked about ways to improve outreach and clear up a common confusion: We are not animal control. We're a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports both the community and animal control through services they don't offer—like financial assistance for vet care emergencies and spay/neuter programs for families facing financial hardship. We’re here to meet the unmet needs. 🐾🐶Tail Wag Tuesday: Double the Love with Potsie & Barkley! Meet Potsie & Barkley, two bonded brothers who are ready to bring twice the love into your life! These adorable Chihuahua mixes are 5 years old and have spent their whole lives together, but they're open to new beginnings with the right family. Potsie weighs just 8.5 pounds and is the ultimate sidekick. He's a true lap dog who loves to be wherever you are. He's potty trained, neutered, and vaccinated! He just needs a little time to learn a new routine. Barkley is the 15-pound fluffy adventurer of the duo. He loves being outdoors and is a bit of a boss with other dogs, but he's loyal to his people. Like Potsie, he's neutered, vaccinated, and healthy as can be. They're both heartworm negative and up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Ideally, these brothers would love to stay together, but we're open to finding them individual homes if needed—with the right match. A fenced-in yard is required for Barkley and preferred for Potsie.
