Queens NY's premiere film festival event! Festival of Cinema was designed to give a voice and a platform to emerging filmmakers and their otherwise unseen work, bringing a world class event Queens, New York City. Festival of Cinema, Inc. was established to support the development of independent filmmakers while simultaneously engaging the underserved community and providing arts and culture in the form of independent film. Founded by three local independent filmmakers who understand the challenges of breaking into the film industry, the aim of Festival of Cinema NYC is to provide an outlet to filmmakers where they can share their work on a large scale for maximum exposure and engage the community. In addition, Festival of Cinema NYC provides free programming, workshops, and special presentations (such as outdoor screenings) that allow those of low income to attend the festival. Our workshops, held by industry professionals, are designed to spark interest in pursuing a career in the film industry.

Festival of Cinema NYC Programming consists of remarkable independent films of all lengths genres and subjects from around the world screened to the public over a ten day period. Our programmers look for the best in truly independent films. All films selected come from independent filmakers that put their blood sweat and tears into their productions. No film selected has backing from a major film studio.
