NPP Clinic We Can Help 3232639700 We Can Help 3232639700 NPP Inc Opioid Dependency Treatment Our Program Brief History In the Autumn of 1967 a group of twentynine reformed drug addicts and a few professionals began operation of innovative drug prevention and rehabilitation program in East Los Angeles. The federally funded Narcotics Prevention Project NPP opened its doors to a community noted for high unemployment substandard housing and most treatment in the community while working with probation and parole to treat addiction not as a crime but as a response to a social and personal deprivation was met with much resistance. During the Projects first few months services were for the most part improvised and uneven but were delivered with idealism and enthusiasm. The Project had obviously tapped a pressing community need.
