UDW Resource Center
The UDW Resource Center (URC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2022 to empower homecare and family childcare providers throughout California to better their lives and communities through training programs and other supports and services. URC serves a diverse population of homecare and childcare workers that are paid very low wages and do not belong to a union in California or anywhere in the United States. URC promotes the dignity and well-being of these caregivers through professional development, education, and material support. Program offerings include leadership in organizing training, a youth-allied healthcare training program, educational pathways and advancement, a family childcare apprenticeship program, and Vocational ESL course connections for IHSS providers.
