McConnells Boxing Elite Competition Team
McConnell's Boxing Elite Competition Team is a non-profit (501(c)(3)) set up to assist MBA amateur boxers with expenses associated with travelling to State and National amateur boxing competitions. Specifically, scholarship funds will be used for travel, boarding, entry fees and other related expenses. Because boxing is an individual sport (unlike team sports with a league or school affiliation) the young people who compete in amateur boxing are often left to fund all travel expenses themselves. This is an unreachable goal for many of these athletes. Many of these boxers have the talent, drive and experience to compete and excel on a state or national platform, but can't afford the expenses to reach these prestigious elite events.
