Thousands of civilians have been killed or injured and millions of Ukrainians as well as others have been forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in other countries. The first families to arrive in our area of Cleveland TN came from Mariupol a town close to the border with Russia that became occupied. At the beginning of the war many were trapped in hiding with little food or water.
