Troop 7325 earned their Bronze Award by rehabilitating the Nature Area at Hualapai Elementary School. Girl Scouts dedicated a year of hard work, using gloves and rakes to fill over fifty garbage bags with dried-up brush, branches, and overgrown weeds. Their efforts revitalized the area’s stone table and benches, a wooden bridge, and large stones. Earlier this month, our Tribal Affairs Team headed up north to host a Girl Scouts Survival Skills Weekend at Navajo Zoo!  The event offered a wide range of engaging activities, including a guided tour, a camouflage-themed outdoor challenge, and a First Aid workshop. The girls also took part in outdoor cooking, where they made banana boats, created tie-dye bandanas in honor of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW), and crafted Morse code bracelets. Additional highlights included tent building and an overnight camping experience at the zoo, complete with songs, book readings, and storytelling.  We’re deeply thankful to our team, the dedicated staff, and our amazing partners who helped bring this unforgettable experience to life.
