The shelter is designed to be a low-barrier facility, ensuring that residents are not subjected to background checks or breathalyzers. It welcomes adult men and women aged 18 and above, along with their pets, offering a safe space from 6 pm to 7 am each day. By embracing a community-based approach, the shelter collaborates with local churches and civic organizations to support its operations.
