“Save the Kittens and Friendlies, TNR the rest!” Herdin Cats is a Portsmouth based 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to helping control and protect the feral cat population throughout the Hampton Roads area by the practice of Trap Neuter and Return (TNR) of community cats, and rehoming the under-socialized and friendly felines.

No truer words have been spoken, when you as a rescue(r) have done all you can to help without any return in favor, assistance, or motivation-the burn out will eventually catch up and you the "caretaker" are left having to figure it out on your own. Our Friends at Fixin the Coast - Nonprofit has posted this harsh reality if things don't change by the end of the year. Honestly, this is not a singular problem.
