Join the Central Florida Jazz Society and keep jazz alive! We are non-profit that organizes local jazz concerts and fund scholarships for local artists. The CFJS was created with the mission to promote the Jazz Art Form, America's own classical music, and to provide scholarships for young people wishing to study Jazz, and assistance for jazz education in the community. Mission Incorporated in 1974 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, the Central Florida Jazz Society was created to preserve jazz as America's original contribution to the arts. Our Mission is to perpetuate and advance the cultural art form of jazz through performances, education and outreach activities and college scholarships in the five county Central Florida Area. We accomplish our mission by: - Present monthly concerts in which the membership and public can hear and enjoy various forms of the jazz art. - Promote live jazz music and local jazz musicians in Central Florida with our bimonthly publication, Blue Notes. - Provide scholarships for deserving young musicians and assistance for jazz education in the community.
