Founder of InHerCity Chic Communities like Brownsville Brooklyn where I was both born and raised are often only depicted in a monolithic negative light with recurring news stories of high crime rates gangs and shootings. These are realcommunities with realpeople and realstories who tend to be overlooked andare faced with more obstacles than opportunities.
