🌍✨ Empowering doctors across borders! Thanks to a collaboration between UCV, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and Healing Venezuela, a new POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) programme is improving healthcare in Venezuela for the less privileged. 💙 Healing Venezuela donated 3 POCUS devices and to date, over 30 doctors have been trained and more than 3,000 patients diagnosed faster and more accurately. An article recently published in an international journal showed that a hands-on POCUS training programme for internal medicine doctors in Venezuela based on the NYU programme showed that doctors in Venezuela were equally qualified on all the parameters measured compared to their colleagues in the USA. 💪 Thanks to a partnership rooted in health equity, doctors in lower-resource settings are now better equipped to care for their communities.
