The Yiddish Arts and Academics Association of North America builds community through events aimed at preserving Yiddish language, arts, and culture. Welcome! We are a cultural center and an art gallery. We unite scholars, artists, and the public. The Yiddish Arts and Academics Association of North America (YAAANA)'s mission is to expand awareness of the beauty and joy of Yiddish language and culture and to preserve and advance them within the US and worldwide. Our events and offerings include concerts, performances, language and art classes, lectures, exhibits, and much more. We educate and entertain while offering both in-person and online participation for those who are local or far-flung. People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to attend our programs. The physical home for YAAANA is Yiddishland, based in California. Our primary exempt purpose is arts and education.
