With heavy hearts, we extend our condolences to Board Member Sue Payne and her wife, Carrie, on the loss of their beloved dog, Chance. We first met Sue and Chance during the inaugural Walk for Talk in 2020, and from that day on, their presence and contributions to the event have been immeasurable. Chance wasn’t just a cherished companion—he became one of our most loyal (and handsomely adorable) mascots, proudly representing Dysphonia International and helping raise awareness about spasmodic dysphonia with every step. Chance will always be part of the spirit of Walk for Talk, and we’re so grateful for the joy, dedication, and connection he inspired.
