On a mission to strengthen our communities by helping individuals and families remain in secure and s The Housing Industry Foundation’s (HIF) mission is to help individuals and families in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties stay securely housed so our communities thrive. We’re laser-focused on preventing homelessness and community displacement in collaboration with an extensive network of nonprofit organizations, housing providers, and property management companies. We provide timely and thoroughly vetted emergency grants to individuals and families so they can remain housing secure and cover unexpected expenses. We match qualified individuals and families living and working in our two counties with apartments at up to 50% below the market rate for up to three years. Our Renovation Program uplifts transitional housing to create safe and dignified environments.
