Congratulations to Resurrection Church on concluding a remarkable centennial celebration. From the kickoff Mass last summer to today’s closing events, the parish community has come together to celebrate the people and traditions that shaped this neighborhood. Whether you grew up in the pews or just stopped in for a blessing, Resurrection has always been part of what makes Gerritsen Beach feel like home. Thank you to everyone who took part, and especially to the organizers who led the way in marking this milestone with so much heart and effort. We at the Gerrittsen Beach Fire Department extend our heartfelt congratulations to Resurrection Church on 100 years of faith and service. Our shared history dates back to the early days when the church held its first services in our firehouse. It’s been an honor to celebrate this milestone with you.
