WE ARE DEDICATED TO INSPIRING KEEN INTEREST IN MATHEMATICS, DEVELOPING STRONG SCHOLARSHIP IN THE SUBJECT, AND PROMOTING THE ENJOYMENT OF MATHEMATICS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND TWO-YEAR COLLEGE STUDENTS. THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS MEMBERS, TEACHERS, AND CHAPTERS OF MU ALP HA THETA WITH SCHOLARSHIPS. GRANTS, AND AWARDS. THIS INCLUDING THE ANDREE AWARD TO SUPPORT STUDENTS WHO WILL BECOME A MATHEMATICS TEACHER. THE FOUNDATION RUNS A NATIONAL CONVENTION WHERE MEMBERS SPEND FOUR DAYS DOING MATH COMPETITIONS FOR FUN, GIVING MATH "CHALK TALKS," AT ENDING MATH SPEAKER SESSIONS, AND SOCIALIZING WITH OTHERS WHO LOVE MATH. WE PROVIDE GRANTS FOR NEW CHAPTERS TO ATTEND FREE.
