Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky
Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky is an association of neighbors who want to protect our view of the stars at night. We think there's a good story to tell and something of value to protect. Most of us have lived in the county for a number of years or can trace our roots back to its beginnings. We understand why people want to live here and we're happy they want to come. But we think it is possible to welcome these newcomers and at the same time protect the beauty of the place to which they are coming. And one of the key beauties of the Hill Country is the night sky and its wild proliferation of stars. Our goal is to help people realize the benefits to be gained by proper management of outdoor lighting.
