East Bay Agency For Children EAST BAY AGENCY FOR CHILDREN Overview Healthy conditions are not distributed equally across our communities. Poverty racism and policies and laws that dont support all families create barriers to wellness for many Bay Area families. EBACs transformational programs help children youth and families recover from trauma build upon existing resilience to protect against longterm harm from past or future exposure to adversity and when possible prevent exposure to adverse childhood experiences. Guided by a traumainformed approach EBACs eight distinct direct service programs include two counseling programs intervention services for preschoolers six Family Resource Centers a health and wellness center and grief support afterschool and youth empowerment programs.
