Our mission is very simple, to improve equine welfare standards and stamp out animal suffering and cruelty. Our mission is simple. To give peace & tranquility to all animals that pass through our gates. We help the old, the injured, abused and forgotten by healing their minds as well as their bodies and providing a safe haven to all that enter our facility. Rescue, rehabilitate, retrain, prepare and rehome adoptable animals. To educate our local community to the plight of America's horses. To provide community events that will connect animals and people, with special emphasis on working with local community homes for the physically and mentally challenged, children in care and local veterans.

Latest Happenings at Iron Horse Sanctuary Iron Horse Sanctuary a nonprofit dedicated to improving animal welfare and ending cruelty is hosting a Dance Party Benefit to support its growing barn cat population. The event will take place on Saturday April 5th 2025 from 200 PM to 500 PM at Mountain Lake ParkLodge. The celebration will feature dancing a silent auction raffles kids activities snacks and beverages all aimed at raising funds for over 35 cats recently rescued from a colony in Pine Island. This largescale rescue effort which more than doubled the sanctuarys original cat population follows the relocation of a colony of over 70 cats living in unsafe conditions in the Pine Island area.
