Mount Saint Vincent University celebrated 644 graduates from 31 countries during its spring convocation ceremonies on May 15 and 16, 2025. Students crossed the stage from arts, science, education, and professional programs to accept a range of 40 degrees, diplomas and certificates and join a global network of alumni more than 40,000 strong. MSVU bestowed the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa, on Dr. Stephanie Scott. In introducing Dr. Scott to the graduating class, Dr. Mary Rita Holland, Nancy’s Chair in Women’s Studies at MSVU, said: “Dr. Scott is a compassionate doctor, visionary leader and innovator, thoughtful teacher, difference maker, and inspiration to future generations. Her work has already left a mark on the lives of countless patients, on the Nova Scotia health care system, and on the field of gynecologic oncology in the Atlantic region and beyond. And we have no doubt that there are still many accomplishments to come.” Attendees heard from Valedictorians Lily Brigham-Gale, Simranpreet Kaur and Rajean Willis.
