A BIG Pride of Pearland welcome to our new Percussion Director, Michael Royer! Mike is a native Houstonian and educator with over 15 years of experience. He’s performed with elite groups like The Cavaliers and Blue Stars and has taught across Texas and beyond—including roles with Klein Oak HS and Legends Drum Corps. Mike is also Drum Captain for the Houston Texans’ Deep Steel Thunder! He holds music degrees from McNeese State and the University of Arizona, and when he’s not drumming, he’s kitesurfing or cheering on Houston sports teams.
