We’re excited to welcome three new firefighters to the Ponderosa Fire Department. Today was Day 2 of their orientation, and they spent the day getting hands-on with our equipment and fire trucks. At 0328 hours (5/20/25), Ponderosa Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire. Engine 61 arrived on scene to find a fully involved vehicle that had struck a street light. The crew quickly extinguished the fire and ensured there were no additional hazards. Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare handled patient care. The incident stemmed from a pursuit involving Houston Police Department that concluded in our response area. #Ponderosafire #HCESD28 #PFD (fb)
