In honor of National Donate Life Month in April, our teams at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center and Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center came together to celebrate life and hope. Our Donate Life Flag Raising Ceremonies were filled with inspiring donor stories, tributes from Infinite Legacy and a beautiful butterfly release, symbolizing life taking flight and the power of second chances. Special thanks to Dr. Lisa Teel, senior director of nursing at LHDCMC, whose leadership and passion inspired 25 people to take the life-changing step of registering as organ donors. (fb)

When Hurricane Helene disrupted the nation’s supply of IV fluids, Luminis Health teams got to work—fast. With one of the country’s largest IV suppliers offline, our clinicians and operational teams coordinated quickly to conserve resource, find new suppliers and keep care running smoothly. Thanks to their preparation and collaboration, we were able to continue all elective procedures with just one day of delay—and ensure patients continued receiving the care they depend on. Our approach is now featured in NEJM Catalyst a publication of the New England Journal of Medicine.
