Diaper Bank of Skagit County
On July 1st, 2021 United Way adopted the Diaper Bank of Skagit County (DBSC). DBSC (82-3659038) has dissolved as an independent non-profit entity effective September 30, 2021. DBSC is a Certified Diaper Bank Member of the National Diaper Bank Network, one of more than 200 diaper banks across the nation and 8 in WA. The Diaper Bank’s mission is to ensure families living in poverty have an adequate supply of diapers to keep their babies clean, dry and healthy. Our mission expands to include the following: a) raise awareness that basic human needs include diapers and that these needs are not being met for children living in poverty. b) advocate for policy reform so that diapers are included in the definition of and provision for the basic human needs of families.
