The RC serves as the legislative arm, comprising elected representatives from national associations, while the ISB acts as the executive body, overseeing daily operations. The Judicial Commission ensures fair dispute resolution and interpretation of governing documents.

Constituent Associations: These can be National or Affiliate associations, with National Associations requiring at least thirty members and Local Associations requiring at least ten members. These groups allow readers to organize and participate locally.

Membership: Individuals can join UAI by affiliating with local or national groups. Those without such groups in their area can become members-at-large.
