Parent To Parent of Vermont

Parent to Parent of Vermont was founded as a statewide organization to help parents with children who have an illness or disability find the support they need from other parents, health care professionals, and the communities in which they live. For almost two decades, we have developed and expanded our programs, partnerships, and outreach to provide a variety of services to help parents of children with special needs ranging from Down Syndrome to cystic fibrosis to ADHD. In fact, of the thousands of families served, these children have one of over 350 different diagnoses, some more common and some extremely rare. Our staff support families, teach family-centered care, champion for system and policy change, coordinate early intervention services, mentor volunteer supporting parents, teach medical students and pediatric residents, plan conferences, publish guidance materials, and fundraise.
