Notre Dame Seminary Founded in 1923 by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Notre Dame Seminary has as its primary mission the preparation of men for the ministerial priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. The seminary, through an integrated and balanced program of priestly formation, seeks to prepare competent pastors for the Church in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. Additionally, in order to foster a broader outreach in service to the needs of the local Church, the seminary offers educational and formational opportunities to other applicants. As a graduate school of theology, the seminary offers those preparing for the priesthood a Master of Divinity degree program of study. Congratulations to the newly ordained Fr. Allen-Michael Muench and Fr. Peter Whitfield of the Diocese of Dallas! On Saturday, May 24th, Fr. Allen-Michael and Fr. Peter were ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ along with two other men from their diocese by Bishop Edward J. Burns. Fr. Allen-Michael will begin his priestly ministry as parochial vicar of St. Ann Parish in Coppell, Texas, and Fr. Peter as parochial vicar of St. Mark Parish in Plano, Texas. Both men begin their new assignments on July 1, 2025. Please join us in congratulating and praying for these two men as they begin their priestly ministry for the Diocese of Dallas! (fb)
