About the organization

in 2004 a small group of committed citizens came together and formed the Santa Barbara Courthouse Legacy Foundation dedicated to the conservation and restoration of this magnificent building for generations to come. Watch the Video The new Spirit of the Ocean Fountain was unveiled on July 29 2011. Read More Made possible by the generosity of the Pearl Chase Society the main arch ceiling was restored to the original condition. See a video Although it looks beautiful from a distance if you look closely you will see the Mural Rooms eighty three year old historic painting ornate ceilings furniture iron work and lighting are all desperately in need of restoration.
