Biodiversity-focused nonprofit partner of @GreatSmokyNPS managing the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory ( #SmokiesATBI ). We are a non-profit organization based in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our goal is to learn all we can about the estimated 60,000+ kinds of organisms living in the Smokies and to share that information with the public. Discover Life in America's mission is to discover, understand, and conserve biological diversity. We manage a massive effort to catalog the incredible abundance of species living in Great Smoky Mountains National Park (the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory) and conduct hands-on education programs to stress the importance of biodiversity in our lives, ultimately seeking to conserve the richness of life on our planet.
