Unicode, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not‐for‐profit corporation that enables everyone in the world to use their own language on phones and computers. With a reach across more than 23 billion devices, in every corner of the globe, and even in space, Unicode standards are the cornerstone of how individuals across all technology platforms can seamlessly communicate and collaborate in their own languages. Beyond languages and emoji, Unicode is also the de facto standards and coding package for internationalization, providing the framework that allows currency, time, date, and much more to appear in the format relevant for the languages of the world. Once organizations implement the Unicode Standards, the expansion into new international and local markets can more easily become a reality.
