Paws Fur Recovery is a very unique dog rescue! Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate dogs stuck in high kill shelters that are at risk of euthanasia. We strive to empower our volunteers to find purpose and work together for a greater good. Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate dogs stuck in high kill shelters that are at risk of euthanasia. At the same time we strive to empower our volunteers who are all recovering addicts and alcoholics. Paws Fur Recovery aims to promote these benefits for our dogs and volunteers: ○ Encourages positive change and a sense of purpose ○ Increases self-esteem. ○ Teaches trust again ○ Promotes responsibility and accountability ○ Decreases anxiety and depression in both the addict and the dog ○ Provides socialization for both the addict and the dog ○ Creates a symbiotic relationship of unconditional love and acceptance
