The mission of the Saratoga Springs Public Library is to inform, to inspire, and to entertain... Saratoga Reads! is a community-wide shared reading initiative, featuring discussions and events insp SARATOGA READS! MISSION STATEMENTOur goal is to invite all members of the Saratoga community to participate in a program designed to create an extensive and shared conversation for all ages and various areas of interest. Centering on the community-wide reading of a book rich enough to sustain invigorating dialogue, the conversation will build upon resources available at Skidmore College and in the wider Saratoga Springs community. Having selected the book, members of the college community and Saratoga community organizations may create and/or participate in group discussions, enactments, literacy and library experiences, school and arts events ... toward the end of relishing the place and play of community-wide engagement!

Following this year's SaratogaREADS. theme of found family, kids in grades K-5 are invited to craft and adopt someone unique today. Rocks, coloring and decorating supplies are provided -- you are welcome to bring a smooth clean rock you found yourself.
