LEAD Pitsburgh (Leading Education and Awareness of Depression) is a unique community initiative advocating for the recognition and acceptance of depression as a treatable medical condition and encouraging the elimination of barriers to treatment of depression. LEAD intends to draw attention to the magnitude of the problems associated with untreated depression and to collaborate with institutions in the community where change can occur and barriers can be overcome.
