Danville Community Band
One of the premier community musical groups in the East Bay. Fifty eight musicians met for the first time September 20, 2001 under the baton of founder Dr. Lawrence Anderson. The band continues today under the direction of Dr. Robert Calonico. To present free and low-cost performances and other musical events to the general public.To enhance the cultural enrichment and education of the community with the opportunities to enjoy a wide variety of new and exciting concert band music.To establish and provide an environment for musicians of all ages to achieve musical growth and increased performance skills in a manner that engenders camaraderie, pride and fun while performing a public and charitable service.To provide an official community band for the Town of Danville, CA.
