Palmetto Literacy Council’s mission is to improve the literacy of youth and adults in our community by teaching/tutoring basic literacy skills for those who struggle with reading, writing, and/or math. We are a volunteer organization dependent on funding from foundations, businesses & private donations. Our volunteers are trained to provide quality instruction using research-based materials with evidence-based strategies to adapt as needed. We strive to improve the literacy rates in our community through positive, strength-based instruction & coaching.
