We have another transport arriving Saturday may 31st from Harlan County Friends of the Shelter! They have a few long time dogs who have been waiting patiently in the shelter for a rescue to pull them! Meet Dasher - this dude has been in the shelter since Nov 2024, watching all of the other dogs leave on transport while he sits and patiently waits for his turn! We met Dasher while at the shelter and he was ALL tail wags! This guy is about 1.5 years old, people and dog friendly, his only downfall…he’s black and white. Sadly that’s the reality for a lot of black dogs who end up in a shelter. But luckily for him, we LOVE black dogs. We told Dasher we would try our hardest to find him a foster or furever home. We’re hoping this next transport it will be him leaving Kentucky to start his life in Illinois. Interested in fostering or adopting Dasher?!
