Older Americans Month is an annual celebration that takes place in May, led by the federal agency Administration for Community Living (ACL). Our "Together We Heal" workshop offered a FREE supportive art therapy session for families affected by recent wildfires. This specialized two-hour workshop provided a safe, nurturing environment where families with children ages 6+ could: -Create meaningful art together as a family -Express feelings through guided creative activities -Connect with others who understand their experience -Learn practical coping strategies through art Participants took home tangible reminders of their strength and resilience, including personal artwork, vision boards, hope stones, and strength bracelets—along with simple techniques for continuing healing at home.
