Home | panhandlerac Panhandle Regional Advisory Council About Panhandle RAC In 1992 the State of Texas adopted formal rules and regulations governing the development of a statewide trauma system. There are a total of 22 Regional Advisory Councils RAC in Texas. The Panhandle RAC Trauma Service Area A was recognized in 1993 and covers twentyfive counties of the Texas Panhandle an area of 24998 square miles with a population of approximately 419897. The counties in the RAC are Armstrong Briscoe Carson Childress Collingsworth Dallam Deaf Smith Donley Gray Hall Hansford Hartley Hemphill Hutchinson Lipscomb Moore Ochiltree Oldham Parmer Potter Randall Roberts Sherman Swisher and Wheeler.
