Back Country Land Trust of San Diego County

San Diego County is an international 'hot spot' with more biodiversity than any other county in the continental U.S. BCLT preserves San Diego's environmental resources and rural heritage through land acquisition, stewardship and education. In close collaboration with the Kumeyaay Diegueno Land Conservancy. BCLT is moving to also conserve, preserve and protect Native American cultural resources on its properties. BCLT Mission: ""To preserve watersheds and sensitive habitats, especially MSCP PAMA properties, in San Diego's East County; with focus on preserving the Peutz Valley watershed (a headwater to the San Diego River), preserving sensitive land and watershed in San Diego County's Las Californias and Campo/La Posta areas, and on building BCLT's Alpine Wright's Field Environmental Preserve.""
