United States National Rifle Team
The purpose of this United States National Rifle Team Foundation is to foster, develop, and support the amateur athletic teams representing the United States of America in domestic and international Fullbore and Long Range Rifle marksmanship competition. The US has competed in the most prestigious event, the Target Rifle World Long Range Championships, since its inauguration in1876 as a celebration of America's centennial. Considered the Olympics of long range shooting, the USNRT promotes and fundraises so that the elite of the best of individuals of all ages and backgrounds can uphold the honor and tradition of America’s rifle sporting heritage by competing in the WLRC and representing the US in the Under 25 (as the Young Eagles), the Veterans (60+), and the Palma team championships.
